This Privacy Policy explains how DubiMotors ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares your personal information when you use our platform at dubimotors.ae and any associated mobile applications (collectively, the "Platform"). We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL) and other applicable UAE laws.
1. Who We Are
DubiMotors is an AI-powered vehicle marketplace operating in the UAE. We connect buyers and sellers of cars, motorcycles, boats, jet skis, heavy vehicles, number plates, and auto accessories.

2. What Personal Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal information:

3. How We Collect Your Information
We collect your information through the following means:
- Direct interactions: When you register an account, place a listing, contact a seller, or communicate with us
- Automated technologies: Cookies, server logs, and similar tracking technologies when you use the Platform
- Third-party sources: Social login providers (if you sign in with Google), payment processors, and analytics providers
- AI features: When you use our AI Listing Assistant, VIN decoder, or Dubi AI Agent

5. AI Features and Your Data
AI Listing Verification
When you submit a listing, our AI system analyses the listing content to detect fraud, fake listings, wrong categories, and unrealistic pricing. This analysis is automated. Listing data processed through this system is not used to train our AI models.
AI Price Estimator
Vehicle details you enter are sent to our AI system to generate a price estimate. This data is processed in real time and is not stored separately from your listing data.
AI Description Generator
Vehicle details you enter are used to generate a listing description. The generated content is presented to you for review before publishing.
Dubi AI Agent
Queries you submit to the Dubi AI Agent are processed by our AI system to generate responses. These queries may be stored for quality improvement and abuse prevention purposes. We do not share your AI Agent queries with third parties for marketing purposes.
VIN Decoder
VIN numbers you enter are sent to a third-party VIN database provider to retrieve vehicle specifications. The VIN number is shared with this provider solely for this purpose.
6. Sign-In with Google and Other Third-Party Sign-In Providers
You can create or access your DubiMotors account using a third-party sign-in provider such as Google ("Sign-In Providers"). When you choose to do so, the following applies.
Information We Receive
When you sign in with Google, we receive a limited set of profile information from Google, namely:
- Your email address: used to create and identify your DubiMotors account
- Your name: displayed as the default name on your DubiMotors profile (you can change this at any time)
- Your Google profile photo URL: used only to display an avatar in your DubiMotors profile
- A unique Google account identifier: used internally to link your sign-ins to your DubiMotors account
What We Do Not Access
We only request the standard sign-in scopes (email, profile, and openid). We do not access, request, or store:
- Your Gmail messages or contents
- Your Google Drive files
- Your Google Calendar events
- Your Google Contacts
- Your YouTube history, watch activity, or any other Google service data
- Any other Google data beyond the four items listed above
How We Use This Information
We use the information received from Google solely to:
- Create your DubiMotors account on your first sign-in
- Sign you back in to your DubiMotors account on subsequent visits
- Display your name and avatar on your DubiMotors profile
- Contact you at the email address provided regarding your account or activity on the Platform
Data Sharing and Selling
We do not sell, rent, or share the information received from Google with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. We do not use this information to build advertising profiles. Information shared with our service providers (such as our authentication infrastructure provider, Supabase) is shared only as strictly necessary to operate the Platform.
Retention and Deletion
The information we receive from Google is retained for as long as your DubiMotors account is active. If you delete your DubiMotors account, this information is deleted from our active systems within 30 days, subject to any retention required by UAE law.
You can also disconnect DubiMotors from your Google account at any time by visiting your Google Account permissions page. Doing so will prevent further sign-ins via Google but will not delete data already stored in your DubiMotors account.
Limited Use Disclosure
DubiMotors's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
7. Who We Share Your Information With
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information with:
- Other users: Your name and listing details are visible to other users. Your phone number is not printed on your listings: a buyer sees it only after tapping Show number or WhatsApp, and only when visiting from a country your number setting allows (see Your Phone Number and Who Can See It)
- Service providers: Cloud hosting (Render), the network service in front of our website (Cloudflare), authentication and database infrastructure (Supabase), email delivery (Resend), payment processors, analytics providers (Google Analytics), advertising platforms (as described in Cookies and Similar Technologies), and AI API providers (OpenAI)
- VIN data providers: Third-party vehicle data APIs used to decode VIN numbers
- Law enforcement: Where required by UAE law or in response to a valid legal request
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition of DubiMotors
Your Phone Number and Who Can See It
Your phone number is not printed on your listings. A buyer sees it only after tapping Show number or WhatsApp on one of your ads, or the call or WhatsApp icon on its listing card.
In your profile, under Contact Preferences, you choose which visitors can see your number. The choice applies to all your listings:
- UAE Only: visitors in the UAE
- GCC: visitors in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain
- Middle East & Arab Region: visitors in the GCC and other Middle Eastern and Arab countries
- Worldwide (the default for every account): all visitors, wherever they are
We do not ask you this when you register. Every new account starts on Worldwide, which applies until you choose another option, and you can change your choice at any time.
On 3 November 2026, Worldwide became the default, and every existing account was set to Worldwide, including accounts that had chosen another option. If you prefer to limit who can see your number, you can choose UAE Only, GCC or Middle East & Arab Region in your profile at any time.
When a buyer asks to see a number, we check the buyer's approximate country. Cloudflare, the network service in front of our website, works this out from the IP address of the buyer's internet connection. We use the country only for this check and do not store it. We do not use GPS and do not ask for access to the buyer's device location. A buyer visiting from a country outside the seller's choice sees "Contact Number Restricted" instead of the number.
Because the country comes from the internet connection, the check is approximate: for example, a buyer using a VPN may appear to be in another country. The setting limits who can see your number, but it cannot guarantee that your number is never seen outside the countries you choose. It does not apply to you on your own listings or to the DubiMotors team.
8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
DubiMotors uses cookies, pixels, tags and similar technologies to operate, secure and improve the website, remember user preferences, understand how visitors use our services, and measure the effectiveness of our marketing activities.
Some technologies are essential for the operation of the website, while others are optional and may be used for analytics, personalisation and advertising purposes.

Where required, DubiMotors will request your consent before using optional cookies or similar technologies for analytics, personalised advertising or remarketing.
If you consent to advertising or remarketing technologies, information about your interactions with DubiMotors, such as pages or vehicle listings viewed, searches performed or interactions with listings, may be used to help us measure advertising effectiveness and provide more relevant DubiMotors advertisements on participating third-party platforms and services.
DubiMotors does not use remarketing technologies to collect or disclose unnecessary personal information, and we do not sell your personal information to advertisers.
You may change or withdraw your cookie preferences at any time through your browser settings, where you can block or delete cookies and other site data.
Advertising and Analytics Providers
We may use third-party service providers such as analytics and advertising platforms to measure website usage, understand advertising performance and, where permitted and based on applicable consent, provide or measure relevant advertising.
These providers may process information according to their respective privacy policies and applicable terms.
9. Data Retention
- Account data: Retained for the lifetime of your account, plus 12 months after deletion
- Listing data: Retained for 24 months after a listing expires or is removed
- Chat messages: Retained for 12 months
- Payment records: Retained for 7 years as required by UAE financial regulations
- AI interaction logs: Retained for up to 90 days for quality and abuse monitoring
10. Your Rights
Under the UAE PDPL and applicable law, you have the following rights:
- Right to access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Right to correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- Right to deletion: Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Right to object: Object to our processing of your data for marketing purposes
- Right to withdraw consent: Withdraw consent for processing based on consent at any time
- Right to data portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format

11. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, secure server infrastructure, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
12. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@dubimotors.ae and we will delete it promptly.
13. International Data Transfers
Your personal information may be processed and stored on servers located outside the UAE, including in the United States and the European Union, by our third-party service providers. We ensure that such transfers comply with applicable UAE data protection law and that appropriate safeguards are in place.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the Platform or sending you an email. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
